I wear and go through a lot of makeup in my line of work, but I’ve always tended towards the Sephora brands (Makeup Forever, Benefit, etc) instead of drugstore. However, I was on a shoot in Austin this past weekend, and realized that I forgot my entire makeup bag in San Francisco!
A quick trip to CVS ensued, and I grabbed a compact of Covergirl and Olay Simply Ageless Foundation.
Holy crap. This shizz is AH-MAZ-ING. No, they are not paying me to say that.
I have never used such smooth foundation before. It goes on like butter. It stays on all day. And it makes my skin look moisturized and like… 5 years younger. I’ve been using it everyday now just because.
Anyhow, this gets the Veronica Seal of Awesomeness. Plus, it’s only $15, about half of what you’d pay for foundation at Sephora.

Went to Neiman Marcus in SF and picked up one of those Tom Ford lipsticks I was talking about the other day. At $45 a pop, they’re not cheap… but I love the texture and color. Definitely one of my new go-to daytime lipsticks!
I’ve become a big fan of Urban Decay lately (yes, it makes me feel like a 15-year old again, shush) mostly because of their 24/7 Glide-On pencils and the Primer Potion (which if you aren’t using yet, please go buy. You’ll become a believer). When I first heard about the Alice in Wonderland palette, I knew it would be a good chance for me to pick up some of their most popular colors all at once . Well, here she is in all her glory! I’ve played around with a few colors so far, and they’re just as saturated and smooth as I expected them to be.
Many fun color combinations on the horizon! Stay tuned!
